Okay so!!!!! It looks very good, very weird and surreal, but like it’s gonna be really intense emotionally. It looks like it really uses the isolation and harshness of the northern tundra as a backdrop and a foil to the burning emotions of the characters, if that makes any sense? There were lots of shots emphasizing both the expanse of the wilderness and how unforgiving it is, as well as shots showing Tatiana and Dane’s characters in turbulent and high-pressure situations. There wasn’t much talking in the trailer, but you do get that sense of wildly fluctuating emotions and a landscape that can turn against you at any moment. The music was really intense, lots of deep low notes, plus there was Inuit throat singing, which was super cool.

Tatiana talked about about what it was like filming up in Iqualuit, how southern Canada often forgets about the North and the people living there, but that there is a rich and vibrant culture amongst the Inuit, and a lot of traditions related to life in the north. She also emphasized the harshness of the landscape, and the expansive, never-ending sense that you get in an environment with no major geographical markers.

aaah that so amazing!!! thanks for the info, i can’t wait for this film!
